Earlier in my career I worked in the real estate sector, managing private client accounts and working in a busy central London office. Work was demanding, but I also made sure to find time for fun and nightlife like most Londoners do. I was generally happy, but the intense way of living, with no time to recharge and rest, took a toll on my health. I started feeling tired all the time and needed several coffees just to push through the day. I didn’t see this as a big issue at the time despite having more and more problems with my health, feeling constantly burnt out, and progressively developing digestive issues.
I would have probably kept on that path until I ran myself down completely, but when my mother died unexpectedly, I became obsessed with understanding how nutrition and lifestyle affect people’s wellbeing. I was keen to understand why some people thrive in great health while others are seemingly constantly unwell despite access to great medical care.
So I decided to go back to school to study nutritional therapy at the College of Naturopathic Medicine. Over the course of the three-year program I studied biomedicine and biochemistry, completed over 200 hours of clinical training and learned how to apply nutrition to address a broad range of conditions including chronic disease, autoimmune conditions, weight loss and female hormonal health. This gave me a science-based foundation for my practice, and I continue to extend my development as a nutritionist through seminars, webinars, books and research papers to enable me to improve the support for my clients.
Since completing my studies, I have focused on helping people address their digestive health issues because I have found this to be key to not only addressing physical health but also boosting mental wellbeing. Having worked with people from throughout the world, including the US, UK, Poland and India, I have found that the people who come to me for guidance typically have a few things in common. They have health issues that they have struggled to manage, and while they think a better diet may help, they need clear guidance on what to do. If that sounds like you, I would love to explore whether I can support you on your journey to better health.
